Good Afternoon, Eagles! Check out the latest episode of the Eagle Update! https://youtu.be/X1HIna0lCug

Mayflower School District storm shelters will be open tonight if needed to shelter from inclement weather.
Reminder, no animals are allowed in the shelters.

Mayflower School District is continuing to monitor the weather development that appears to be moving in our direction.
We do not intend to dismiss school early as we believe students are safer in district storm shelters than at home alone, which would be the case for several students if we dismiss early.
However, we also understand parents' concern about their children. So, if parents believe it is in their child's best interest, they may check students out starting at 2:00 today with no penalty of absence. Parents, please make the choice you believe puts your child in the safest situation.

Attention Mayflower Eagles:
Please be weather aware today! The Mayflower School District is closely monitoring our area's potential for severe weather this afternoon.
Please be aware that if severe weather occurs and warnings are issued, buses will not depart at dismissal, and staff will not load cars for pick-up until conditions improve.
In the event of an active tornado threat, staff will shelter in our saferooms with students. Parents will not be allowed to check out students until the threat has passed. Once students and staff are in the safe rooms, any remaining space is open to the members of the community. No pets are allowed in the safe rooms. Any weather delays will be communicated through our regular communication channels.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we ensure students and staff are safe.

Happy Spring Break, Mayflower Eagles! Check out the latest edition of the Eagle Update, and have a fun and safe spring break! https://youtu.be/MN_HmyjlkZQ

Due to inclement weather, Mayflower School District will be closed on Wednesday, February 19.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Mayflower and its surrounding areas. The precipitation expected to hit the region is anticipated to be freezing rain and sleet, posing significant challenges in ensuring the safe return home of students and buses. Even modest amounts of this precipitation can create extremely hazardous travel conditions for our students and staff. In light of these concerns, the Mayflower School District has made the decision to close on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. We will communicate a decision for subsequent dates as soon as possible. Please prioritize your safety and stay warm.
