Congratulations to Coach Jeff Hill on being selected as the 2025-26 Mayflower High School Teacher of the Year! Thank you for your hard work and dedication to Mayflower students!

Entergy has notified us that a vehicle struck a power pole in Mayflower. As a result, they plan to temporarily shut off power to the city at approximately 4:00 p.m. to complete necessary repairs. The outage is expected to last about three hours. We plan to complete the school day as scheduled. However, families should plan accordingly for a power outage beginning around 4:00 p.m. Please share this information with others who may be affected.

If you see them, please congratulate to these young men! Your Eagles Bowling team tied for 3rd Place at the State Bowling Tournament's in Jonesboro this afternoon. What a great way to end the season!

Also, Sr. Colton Randles placed 2nd Overall individually, Sr. Luke Tankersly placed 3rd individually, and they both will be back in Jonesboro next Friday to compete against individuals from all Classifications!

Let's take a moment and celebrate our students and teachers. Our specialists and teachers saw a real need: students come to math class with different strengths, gaps, and learning speeds, and one approach doesn’t work for everyone. By partnering with the Modern Classroom Project, our teachers are meeting students where they are while keeping everyone learning and moving forward.

Good morning! We are closely monitoring the weather and the forecast to ensure the safety of all students and staff. While most models predict that any winter weather will occur after school hours today, we’ll continue to monitor the situation to determine if a change to the school day is necessary. For now, we intend to maintain the normal daily schedule. However, if the weather requires an early release, we’ll inform you through social media, text, and phone calls. Attention Mayflower Eagles:

This afternoon, after school hours, a Mayflower School District bus was involved in an accident with a single vehicle while returning to the school. There were NO students on the bus at the time.

The bus driver was not injured and is doing well. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

We are thankful for the prompt response of emergency personnel and will share additional information as appropriate. Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff.

Mayflower Parents and Students! Please be reminded the Mayflower School District will be in session on Monday, December 15th and will be dismissed Friday, December 19th.

Mayflower School District will be closed for Christmas Break from December 19 through January 2.

Monday, December 15 is a regular school day.

Thursday, December 18 will be students’ last day before Christmas Break.
