Apologies for the late message, but we wanted to get this message out before people woke up with dead phone batteries in the morning due to not being able to charge them.
The district campuses, along with most of the community, is still without power. This has created a food shortage in district cafeterias, Mayflower School District will take AMI day #1 on Thursday, August 25.
AMI packets will be issued to students on Friday, August 26 to be completed by Tuesday, August 30.
Please share this message with anyone you know who may not be able to receive messages now due to dead cell phones, etc.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Our MHS athletes are getting stronger everyday!

We would like to shine a light on Haden Richardson for being selected as one of the National FFA Delegates for the state of Arkansas. He was chosen out of 22 statewide applicants. He will be representing Arkansas FFA when the Arkansas FFA State Officers and National Delegates travel to Indianapolis this fall for the 95th National FFA Convention. Haden will have the opportunity to join committees and revise policies that could affect the National FFA. Congratulations on your great achievement Haden!
Important 2022-23 Breakfast and Lunch Information: For the past two years, every Mayflower student has eaten breakfast and lunch for free due to federal funding. Unfortunately, the funding to provide free meals to all students ran out this summer. This year the cost for breakfast will be $2.00 per student, and the cost of lunch will be $3.00 for elementary students and $3.25 for middle and high school students. We encourage all families to complete the free/reduced lunch application (even if you think you may not qualify). Simply completing the application helps the school district. You can find the application here: https://family.titank12.com/application/new?lang=English
Come join our team! The Mayflower School District has current openings for bus drivers, custodians, and a technology assistant. For more information to apply, follow this link: https://mayflower.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx
It's game day for your Mayflower Eagles! Come out tonight and support your Eagles as they take on the Perryville Mustangs in this year's benefit game! Jr High starts at 6:00pm and Sr. High begins at 7:00pm. Go Eagles!
Important Bus Information:
School starts on Tuesday, Aug. 23. All students planning to ride the bus will need to be at their designated pick up location 25 minutes earlier than last year's pick up time. In the afternoon, buses will pick up elementary students at 4:10pm, middle school at 4:15pm, and high school at 4:20pm. Please be patient with our drivers and staff as we get into a routine and can better estimate when students will arrive home.
Congratulations to Teri Pease for her recognition as Mayflower High School’s Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. MHS appreciates her efforts for our students, teachers, and staff. Thank you Mrs. Pease!
Today is the last day for registration before school starts for new and returning students! Please come see us from 1-6 today in the High School Cafeteria. Laptops are available for parents to register your child in Power School as well as Free and Reduced Lunch paperwork.
Students can get a locker ($5), parking pass ($10), and pay for class dues at this time. This is also the time to turn in the paperwork required from Power School if you have already registered your child.
If you are able to see us today it will help you avoid long lines at Open House. We hope to see you soon!
Good afternoon. We wanted to remind students and parents that next Monday and Tuesday from 1pm to 6pm MHS will have registration for new and returning students. Students may purchase their locker ($5), their parking tag ($10), and pay class dues at this time. Parking forms are available online.
We will have computers available for parents to register their student in Power School. We will also have computers available to parents to fill out Free and Reduced Lunch forms. This school year breakfast and lunch for students will not be free. It is a great benefit to our district and students when parents fill out Free and Reduced Lunch forms. If you fill out paperwork or complete the forms online for Free and Reduced Lunch this school year your name will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gas card.
We look forward to seeing many of our students next Monday and Tuesday.
This request for input is being shared with stakeholders from ForwARd Arkansas.
ForwARd Arkansas is a nonprofit focused on the state-wide improvement of education in Arkansas.
Earlier this summer, Forward launched a new project, in partnership with DESE, called the "State of Education in Arkansas."
If you'd be willing, we would love to have your input and voice as a part of this project.
Over the next many months, we will be coordinating an extensive effort to gather as much input as possible from district leaders, school leaders, educators, and families across Arkansas. Our plan is that this project will lead to a report that elevates:
Where the state has made progress in education over the last 5 years
Where we are currently, especially in light of the COVID pandemic
Critical education priorities for the next 5 years informed by those in districts, schools, and communities
We have launched a brief survey (5 to 7 mins) that is appropriate for any stakeholder.
We hope you'll join us in this process. Thanks for your consideration!
